Amsterdam: More Than Red Lights and Weed

Have you ever traveled somewhere and fell in love with it the second you stepped off the plane? That’s not what happened to me because airports are pretty drab IMO but I did know that I was going to love Amsterdam before I’d spent less than an hour in the Netherlands. I have to admit that before the trip, I was sure that Amsterdam was filled with weed, red lights and sex, and I really didn’t know if I was going to like it, but it turns out that I was a skeptic without reason. I was shocked at all the small quirks that make up the breathtaking, warm and welcoming city and my negative assumptions were quickly flip turned upside down.

From cycling the picturesque canals, to shoving my face with waffles, Heineken and more (the Red Light District was a necessary stop too), Amsterdam is hands down one of the best places I’ve ever visited. Check out the things I loved most about it in the video below!
